Team & Process

Predesign

The initial site survey included photographic, geotechnical, and historical records of the site. This survey, which revealed areas of recurring development as well as untouched riparian landscape, formed the basis for the site restoration, including soil remediation, habitat restoration, and the recycling of buildings and building materials.

Construction

The design team developed a commissioning plan during the design development phase. The client engaged a commissioning agent to participate with the design team in incorporating and evaluating energy and operational efficiencies into the final design.

Post-Occupancy

The facility will be monitored on a regular basis to determine the effectiveness of the building systems in meeting the energy-efficiency and resource-efficiency goals.
